"Exeter Supply Partnership has been our preferred supply agency for many years. They provide high quality teachers, sometimes at very short notice. They invest in their supply staff with CPD opportunities and encourage their development. They have a great understanding of a school's needs and are very responsive to our particular requests.

We have engaged supply teachers for both short and long- term cover and have benefited from their help in recruiting several members of teaching staff, with no charge made to the school for a "finder's fee"

I would highly recommend Exeter Supply Partnership for the amazing professional service that they provide."

"I have been working in Early Years for around 30 years. I have previously worked in Pre school and Nursery management, SEND roles and Practitioner roles. I just love being with the little people,  helping them learn and develop, enhancing their skills to become school ready.
After rethinking my work/life balance, I knew I wanted to work on supply in local settings. I came across ESP via a former colleague on Facebook and applied from there. I am so glad I did, as I'm enjoying every minute. I have got to know so many lovely people in the settings and at ESP.
We are encouraged to further our personal development and have access to valuable ongoing training. I have been warmly welcomed into each setting that I have worked on supply in and feel valued as a member of their team.
I would thoroughly recommend a role at ESP. I personally feel it’s the best decision for me at this time in my career.”

"I am an experienced teacher with over 30 years' practice in both the state and independent sectors, including Head of Pre Prep at a large independent school. I began supply teaching in 2022 when we relocated back to Devon in order to care for an elderly relative.  Supply teaching offered the flexibility required to fit in around caring commitments, without the evening and weekend work that comes with a contract at a school.  Supply teaching has enabled me to visit a large number of different schools and observe a vast array of different current practices, use a range of different phonics and maths schemes, etc., and to work in several different MATs and also schools that are not affiliated to any others.  After a long time working in the independent sector, supply was a good way to re-introduce myself to the state sector.

I joined Exeter Supply Partnership in 2024, following recommendations from other supply teachers I had met.  The service I have received from my other supply agency is very patchy.  ESP provide a consistently excellent service to their educators, with good communication and a personal approach.  As a result of being a not-for-profit organisation, their pay is higher than some other agencies.  Schools I have visited who deal with several agencies have also commented on how professional ESP are by comparison to some others.

All the schools I have visited in my work with ESP have been lovely places to do supply and I have had a lot of repeat bookings, which is always nice.  They are mindful of location, and I have been fortunate to have bookings at my local schools.  The app is very user-friendly and communication is easy.  I would definitely recommend ESP to teachers in the area, whether newly qualified or experienced like myself."

“ESP have become my 'go to' first choice for supply be it a last minute request or planned ahead they couldn't be easier to contact or more helpful.  We can rely on quality teachers at the best rates.  I would and regularly do recommend them to teachers and schools alike.”

"I am an experienced teacher with over 30 years full time experience, the majority of which was in the independent sector and I have held both leadership and governing roles. I retired with my husband in 2023 having lived in the Cotswolds for 32 years. We have now moved permanently to Devon which is my husband’s home part of the world.

Joining ESP has enabled me to bridge the gap between full time teaching and retirement as I missed working in the classroom. It has been a joy and privilege to visit so many different schools. ESP has made my transition to supply teaching seamless. They are extremely welcoming and supportive. The app makes bookings and availability very easy to manage and the ESP team are always on hand to assist and answer any queries. I cannot recommend them highly enough!"
