A few things to know about joining ESP’s supply team

ESP are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all supply teachers, teaching assistants and nursery practitioners to share this commitment.

View more information below regarding our recruitment process and helpful information for overseas applicants.
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
As part of our recruitment process, we will carry out all the necessary safer recruitment checks, including DBS, children's barred list, identity, teacher prohibition (teachers only), qualifications, medical fitness, permission to work in the UK, overseas checks (including criminal certificates, references and information from regulatory bodies), references and employment history. Also prior to an interview, an online check of publicly available information will be completed to assess shortlisted candidates’ suitability to work with children.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

All teachers and teaching assistants are also asked to disclose any relevant criminal history.

We interview every teacher and teaching assistant face-to-face so that you find your perfect match, because we know there’s lots to consider.

For example:
  • Would you rather work in a larger school or a small village school?
  • Are you a part-time teaching assistant looking for additional work?
  • Or are you new to the teaching assistant role and looking for occasional work to fit around other commitments?
  • Do you have any experience supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis?
  • What location do you prefer?

Whatever it is that’s important to you, your face-to-face interview is the chance to discuss it to ensure we only offer you the most suitable job opportunities.
