If you’re interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant or Nursery Practitioner but don’t yet have the required qualifications or experience, supportive pathways are available.

We work in partnership with LearnDevon, a trusted adult learning provider offering funded online training courses for people starting or progressing careers in education and early years.
What LearnDevon Offers
LearnDevon courses are delivered through:
  • Tutor-led online learning
  • Interactive workshops and discussions
  • Guided tasks and Q&A sessions
  • Supported e-learning modules
  • Skills practice in a setting

Relevant Courses Include
  • Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
  • Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools
  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector
  • Level 3 Diploma in Playwork

While completing your course, you may be interested in working on supply as a nursery practitioner or primary teaching assistant. This allows you to:
